THE POWER OF FIVE

Listening to beautiful song composed by Bon Jovi & Richard Sambora ” These ‘FIVE WORDS‘ I swear to you, I’ll BE THERE FOR YOU” got me to contemplate on the power of the ‘FIVE WORDS’ the song which went on to TOP the BILLBOARD Charts, the awesome ability for it to move beyond the marrow & the bone, to touch the spirit and foster deep resonance at the level of the Heart, Mind & Soul.

The five word power packed phrases not only empower and enrich but have the immense possibility to foster empowering interactions, to restore relationships that have gone hay wire and more importantly to deepen friendship at the level of the Mind, Spirit & Soul.

1.    I’LL BE THERE FOR YOU :

Being there for your friend for your dear one’s in HEART & SPIRIT is the greatest and most beautiful gift one can ever give and especially the best ‘Christmas Present’ one can give for those they so deeply care for. When we are truly present for our dear one’s in spirit and more so in person, it empowers & restores the one in need and simultaneously in the very process the person making himself available is empowered emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The Spirit of ‘ I’LL BE THERE FOR YOU‘ is at the very core of TRUE COMMITTED FRIENDSHIP and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

2.    I UNDERSTAND YOU COMPLETELY BUDDY :

At our places of work, community, within our families we come across individuals who think differently. You are unique, you think differently, but for the wonderful person that you are ‘I UNDERSTAND YOU COMPLETELY BUDDY’, is a way of showing respect for diversity and being inclusive. Letting others know in so many little ways that you understand them, is the most beautiful  aspect of being compassionate, inclusive and empathetic .

3.    YOU CAN COUNT ON ME : –

The best of friends do not need to be asked, they see a need and try to meet it. When they see the other is in need of assistance, they reach out  with the ‘Hey LET ME HELP YOU BUDDY’ approach and do all that is possible to the best of their efforts.

True friend, the one’s we call our ‘Chaddi Waddi” ones, our besties are the one’s you can count on them. They are indeed the one’s who walk in and stand by you,  when probably the world walks out on you. They jump in and their very calming presence assures you, with the unspoken yet reassuring gaze, ” Hey Buddy, Take it easy, ‘ YOU CAN COUNT ON ME’, this assurance of being there, the warm comforting gaze binds relationships at the soul level.

4. I AM SORRY MY FRIEND :

In our day to day interactions, in our moments of angst and anger we hurt people we interact and work with. All it takes is the magical words ‘ I AM SORRY MY FRIEND’ relationships are restored as and when people choose to be humble and realize the fact that being human they are are vulnerable to faults and failures. In humbly owning up, we restore relationships and in the process we grow to be mature individuals high on compassion and empathy.

5.    I THANK YOU SO MUCH : –

A magnanimous “Attitude of Gratitude”, the sincere heartfelt expression in saying ” Hey Buddy I THANK YOU SO MUCH” from the bottom of my being for all that you have done and for being there for me” reflects the noble quality of the soul. Friends at the ‘Heart & Soul’ Level, are grateful, they do not take the good done for them by their friends for granted, they are gracious enough to thank their friends for their magnanimity, for just being there when it mattered most and for their many acts of encouragement and  kindness.

Wishing us all to use the POWER OF FIVE as we move into the most beautiful month of the year. May the joyous spirit of CHRISTMAS get us to be compassionate, generous and reaching out, our little ways of restoring relationships and empowering our interpersonal communication.
