Where do you see your industry in the next 5 years?

IT industry will continue to SURVIVE like any other industry.

It will not GROW at the rate of 20 to 40% as it happened few years back.

The growth will be mostly limited to below 12%.

Accordingly, the salaries will NOT be very high in future.

IT salaries will be at par with any other skill like manufacturing, retail or banking sector.

Some stabilisation in salaries and negative growth is expected over the next 5 years..

The increments will be less than 8%. Whenever you change jobs, your salary difference is unlikely to be more than 12% or so..

What is your take on the youth of today and why do you think internship is necessary?

An Internship provides real life experience and exposure.

When you intern, you:

  • To learn more about yourself
  • Get connected and develop your professional network
  • Transition into a full-time position

What advice would you give to someone who’s just starting out?

Do your work or business in a very professional manner. Provide quality work.
