Relaxation on levy of additional fees in filing e-forms AOC-4, AOC-4 (CFS), AOC-4 XBRL, AOC-4 Non-XBRL for FY ended 31st March 2020

On 28th January 2021, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) issued General Circular No. 04/2021.

As per this notification, NO additional fees will be levied up to 15th February 2021 for the filing of e-forms AOC-4, AOC-4 (CFS), AOC-4 XBRL and AOC-4 Non-XBRL.

This relaxation is applicable for the FY ended 31st March 2020 under the Companies Act, 2013.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government has received numerous requests to relax its rules regarding the levy of additional fees for annual financial statement filings for the FY ended on 31st March 2020. Taking cognisance of these requests, the Government has decided to relax these levies to help Indian businesses cope with the impact of the pandemic.

According to the circular, signed by Mr. KMS Narayanan, Assistant Director Policy and addressed to all Regional Directors, Registrar of Companies and other stakeholders; until 15th February 2021, only normal fees will be payable for the filing of these forms. After 15th February 2021, any additional levies will become applicable.
