Did you know you can now submit a PAPERLESS application for a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)?
If you are an Aadhaar card holder and have an updated mobile number, you can complete the Aadhaar Paperless Offline eKYC to obtain a DSC in only 6 steps.
Step 1: Choose the DSC Type (Class 2, 3) and validity (1 year or 2 years) you want to buy
Step 2: Log on to the website of a Certifying Authority (CA), fill out the online paperless application form. You can also purchase a paperless DSC through MyDSC.net.
Step 3: Download the offline Aadhaar XML from UIDAI website
Step 4: In your application form, upload the Aadhaar XML and Aadhaar XML share code. You will also need to provide the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card (mandatory).
Step 5: Verify the Application information and provide the eKYC login credentials for eSigning the DSC application. Make the payment
Step 6: Record your video for final verification. This step is mandatory
And you’re done!
Your application will be processed by the CA and certificate download instructions will be sent to your registered email address which you provided while filling out the application form.
With a paper-based application, you will have to wait for 3-7 days to receive your DSC. But with a paperless application, you can get your DSC on the same day.
Remember that while applying, you will need to enter the OTP (one time password) received on your mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card. Without this, the process will not work.
