Cynergi Connects recently interviewed Mr Sinha about his career and his vision for India’s thriving Pharma industry. Here’s what he had to say!

How was the experience of organizing the 4th digital health summit? What was it about?

It has been a great experience organizing the 4th digital health summit in India, alongside, it was really great interacting with the who’s who of the health care industry. Organizing the summit was a step towards heading the industry to digitalize at a greater pace. Health care industry requires this digitalization to a great extent. Looking forward to the health care professionals reaching to the last mile patient through digitization and we have been able to fulfil this objective.

Was this Digital Health summit a milestone of your career? And what was the highlight of the event?

This digital health summit was definitely a milestone in my career because it helped me interact with some of the leaders of the health care industry who have actually digitized this practice and helped our country reach the milestone.  The highlight of the event was, Dr. Devi Shetty, who spoke about his contribution in digitizing the healthcare in India. He practically showed the way how a practitioner should actually go forward in digitizing his practice. It was also a pleasure to listen to Dr. Pithier from Estonia. Estonia is one of the highly digitized health care industry in the world and they have set an example to the entire world showing how a digitalized healthcare company can help a patient save the world.

Dr. Richard Alvarez from Canada was also attending the summit. It was an eye opener to see how Canada has actually transformed health care through digitalization. A resolve was taken during this summit, to declare 2020 as a digital health year. 17th of April as a digital health day. We will make all efforts to see that this is not only successful but also takes the health care industry to greater heights in India.

You have been heading Global space for over 5 years now. What are the hurdles you have overcome, also please share with us your best achievements?

In my last 5 year tenure with global space, we have always tried to get the Healthcare Industry to the world. We had foreseen that in the times to come digitalization is going to be the core of the health care industry. We really stick our head out to see that the health care industry moves forward. Many challenges came our way. It is a very traditional industry and always believes in human touch, the doctor to patient ratio in India is 1 is to 1700. Hence it is very difficult to reach the last milestone unless you are digitalized. This is what our endeavor has been. We have been partially successful but we have a great way to go. I am sure that with a continued effort in this direction we will be able to make a big change in the industry.

What are your views on the concept of internship amongst the youth these days? What are the benefits of internship?

In my opinion, internship is very good concept and it definitely helps the students for an exposure in the corporate world. A student, goes through his whole curriculum but seeing the practical applicability of his course is definitely helpful. In addition to that, it helps them build a career in the corporate world. The corporate also gets a helping hand from this internship students in getting fresh ideas from them and it also in return helps them to grow.
