I am very excited to share a wonderful feature to create GIF images in WhatsApp. Yes, that’s right, you can now create GIF images in WhatsApp. It’s a cool feature. Imagine you have captured a nice video of a loved one. You send the beautiful moment/expression from that video in the form of GIF image to the person. Won’t that person love you more? I know now even you too are excited to know more about this feature so that you can quickly create and send it. Follow the steps below:
- Go to the contact in WhatsApp and open it.
- Once it is opened, click on the attach icon in the bottom right corner of the chat window.
- This opens the Media Gallery, select the video that is to be converted to GIF format.
- After selecting the video the following screen appears:
- On the left side, the video duration is displayed and on the right side, the size of the video is shown. Simply drag the two ends of the video to select the moment that is to be converted to the image. Make sure the duration of the cropped section should not be more than 6 seconds because that’s the only duration supported by WhatsApp to convert to GIF.
- After selecting the video of 6-second duration the option of converting to GIF images appears on the right-hand side of the video.
- Select the GIF option and click the Send button to send the video to the recipient. You may probably have to try more than once to get it right. Practice it to learn quickly.
